This paper proposes and discusses a new method of producing loop fancy yams. First, we consider the fundamental parameters of loop fancy yams by determining the loop characteristics and final yarn count. Second, we consider the effect of core tension and effect yam over-feed on loop frequency and loop size (loop diameter) of loop fancy yams produced on a modified rotor spinning frame.
The demand for fancy yams is due to the special aesthetic appeal they impart to fabrics, which find applications in normal and high fashion clothing, curtains, carpets, upholstery, and many other areas.
